To make sure the power stays in your hands we will always make you an administrator of your own account, giving you complete visibility of all work.
We work with all budgets and have no minimum terms or spend requirements
Google will bill you directly for advertising spend so you always have complete transparency - and we don’t clip the ticket
What to expect?
Let's Start Now - You book a call straight into our diary & provide us with a tonne of valuable information in our booking form. After we discuss your goals and your current situation you decide whether you'd like us to send through our proposal.
We include all of our assumptions and exclusions in our proposal - this means that if something crucial like your Google Analytics isn't setup we can flag that will be an additional fee or send you a link to DIY it.
You sign your proposal and we flick you an invoice that includes the setup fee & your first month. If you want we can split this over two months and do the setup in month one, and begin optimisation in month two. Up to you!
We ask you to complete a brief that includes all the relevant information for your business including your account details, monthly budget, competitor information & any imagery for display advertising.
If everything is good to go we should be able to jump into your accounts and get cracking. Or we may need to give you a list of tasks to complete like setting up your Analytics or Ad accounts if they aren't where you thought they were.
Or you can get us to fix your accounts for you by agreeing to one of the bolt ons that are included in your proposal.
At the end of your first full calendar month we’ll send you a report detailing your campaign peformance - this report is a live dashboard which means you can check on results at any time during the month, and if there is anything extra you want to measure we can add it to your report. We expect you to tell us of any upcoming campaigns, stock issues or promotions so we can adapt our campaigns with plenty of time to spare.
Otherwise we are pretty quiet folks who will only be in touch if something needs actioning. But you can book additional time whenever you like as a priority client.
Why do you charge a setup fee?
We don't make any of our clients commit to a minimum term contract so our setup and strategy time is laid out transparently in our one off setup fee.
We make this worth our client's while by reviewing your account performance at 3, 6 and 9 months to see if less monthly management is required. If your account is optimised and running well we will offer to move you onto one of our lite plans.

How will our relationship work?
Once you have accepted your proposal & completed your brief you will hear from us infrequently. We will email you monthly and expect you will let us know at the beginning of each calendar month what is going on in your business & marketing
It takes time to change and optimise campaigns so we need ideally 2-3 weeks notice of planned promotions to ensure we get the best out of your budget.
If you want us to perform additional analysis of your overall website peformance we can do that, you just need to let us know you'd like a Google Analytics bolt on session.
What numbers do you use for reporting?
We use Google Analytics attribution as our source data. There are other tools, such as Facebook Ads Manager, that may report attribution differently but we only ever rely on Google Analytics for Google Ads reporting.
Can you teach me how to manage my Google Ads?
Yes! We do ask for a minimum of four months to work on your account and if the medium-long term plan is for you to manage your campaigns in house we can come up with a training & handover plan. Training sessions start at $140 + GST per hour and typically we would migrate you from a monthly plan to two hours of training per month for three months to set you up for success.
Can you work with my website?
We specialise in working with Shopify, SquareSpace & WordPress websites and have clients on Wix as well. Custom built platforms may require additional web developer help to ensure we can accurately track conversions so may incur an additional cost depending on your relationship with your web developer. Some websites don't play nice with Google Analytics - Weebly, and Woocommerce have known reporting issues in e-commerce so we can discuss this with you
What kind of return on investment can I expect?
We can never guarantee a return on investment on any campaign as there are too many other variables at play. However we will always advise if we think you need to speak to a user experience expert or if your website performance is negatively impacting results. We also work on the basis that a customer or client is worth far more than the one sale we may generate from an individual via ads in a given month and we can discuss customer lifetime value with you.

When it comes to Facebook Campaigns our aim is to create winning campaigns & identify strategies before eventually passing these back to you, the business owner
We set a Facebook Advertising strategy and can work with you & your team or VA to deliver results
Or we can work on a project basis for 3-4 months ideal for product launches or to get us to do the grunt work before handing over our findings

What to expect?
You will book a call and provide us with amazing valuable insight into your business & goals in our booking form. We have a chat and figure out what might be best for you and your business goals. Then we offer to send you our proposal.
Once you have accepted our proposal we will flick you your invoice and a link to book in a session in our calendar. Then we will send through your brief which is designed to make it easy to gather all the relevant information about your business and your account details.
We specialise in working with Shopify, SquareSpace & WordPress websites - other platforms may require additional web developer help if we identify an issue with your Pixel.
Can you run my Facebook Ads for me?
We'd love to but our client list is full!
Can you train me to run my own Facebook Ads?
Yes, you can book us by the hour but running ads without strategy is like driving without headlights. Our hourly sessions are extremely limited and are booked out a month in advance.
I have a problem with my pixel, business manager or account can you fix it?
Probably! The Facebook Fix Up was created for people like you. We're a Facebook Marketing Partner and have an assigned account manager who helps us with client issues.
My Facebook Ads account has been disabled - can you help?
Sometimes! It will take 1-2 hours to figure out what is going on and talk to Facebook about your account. However if you have been violating ad policies we may not be able to get your account back. You can book a call to discuss the Facebook Fix Up package.
What is my return on investment likely to be?

Clever Social was formed in 2017 when after a decade spent in marketing and marketing adjacent roles, Rachel had grown weary of working with big marketing agencies using shady tactics to secure small business clients. Scott watched Clever Social grow from the sidelines in his role as supportive husband and chief of high-fives but by 2018 he had begun to get stuck in working behind the scenes supporting clients.

What if I don’t have a marketing plan?
A marketing plan or strategy makes sure you are focusing on multiple channels and ensures that you are viewing the customer journey as a whole, rather than focusing on one tool as the solution to your sales woes. The biggest risk for your business by not having a marketing plan is that we are making the assumption that there is a genuine market for your product and that you know your ideal customer. If you don't have a plan or strategy in place let's talk!
How much am I going to spend on ads?
Clever Social’s monthly management fees only cover our expertise each month. We’ll need to set a baseline budget together and scale up as we see results (or analyse your previous ad campaigns and go from there). There is no minimum spend requirement.
What results can I expect from my digital advertising investment?
There are so many variables that this is impossible to answer! However we can discuss with you the types of return we see from clients in your industry.
What results can I expect from SEO?
We will improve your SEO score but we have no control over the work your competitors are doing in the SEO space. We work to ensure your site is fully optimised and focus on critical fixes. We recommend ongoing website content planning that will increase your SEO but this is not a service we provide (we can recommend some fab content specialists!)
What are my payment options?
Bank transfer, credit card and GenoaPay. All invoices are due within 7 days.
